The Liberty ships were crewed by Merchant Marine seamen, as courageous and valiant group of men who every served our nation, and a small Naval crew who manned the guns. The Navy men were quartered near the stern in separate quarters from the Merchant men. This photo shows one of the Naval crew cabins.
